The fourth IWSC (International Wine & Spirit Competition) tasting session held in Georgia once again confirms that the country is becoming one of the significant centers of global wine culture. This year, the international jury — Masters of Wine and high-ranking winemaking experts — evaluated nearly 400 samples from Georgia and neighboring regions.
The tasting was organized in partnership with the Gurjaani Wine Festival and the National Wine Agency of Georgia, adding further professionalism and regional importance to the event.
For Mildiani Family Winery, long-term cooperation with the IWSC represents one of the most valuable platforms for presenting the quality of our qvevri and classic-style wines to the global evaluation arena.
In 2024, Mildiani received exceptional recognition, earning:
5 Gold medals
7 Silver medals
6 Bronze medals
This year was historic both for the competition and for Mildiani: for the first time in the history of the IWSC, a Georgian Chacha was awarded a Gold medal — an achievement that elevates the country’s distillation heritage to a new level.
The results of IWSC 2026 once again demonstrate that Georgia holds a clearly defined and significant place on the global wine map. Mildiani remains one of the most active, reliable, and consistent contributors to this progress — driven by family tradition, professionalism, and continuous development.
